  • Research Interests and Activities:
I have worked on projects examining cycles of C, N, P, and Ca across forests of different ages and land-use histories in New England. My dissertation research focuses on nutrient limitation and acquisition in temperate forests, and on the role of mycorrhizal fungi in providing access to organic substrates and primary minerals as sources of nutrients. I work at the UNH Stable Isotope Lab, and I am also involved in a large collaborative multiple-element fertilization project (MELNHE).

    Distinguished Awards and Memberships:
NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant; UNH Dissertation Year Fellowship; Switzer Environmental Fellowship; UNH NRESS Graduate Fellowship; National Merit Scholarship
